A woman got the last laugh after an "entitled tradesman" blocked her into her house when he parked on the drive. The anonymous woman took to Reddit to share the story of the parking row, and people were quick to praise her actions, as they thought the behvaiour was uncalled for.
She explained the tradesman "refused to move" after he blocked her in, as he claimed they wouldn't be long doing work next door. However, this response didn't quite satisfy her, so she took matters into her own hands - and people couldn't believe how the parking situation esculated as she grew so frustrated by the unusual situation.
In the post, the woman wrote: "Years ago my neighbour - shared drive - was having work done and the guys parked on the drive. I asked them to move as I was about to go out, they said it was all good and they wouldn't be long.

"Well, because they wouldn't move, I ended up ringing the friend I was meeting to come pick me up instead and when we got back from our outing and picking up her son they were still parked in the driveway.
"My friend was going to park on the road, but I told her to drive up behind them and turn the car off, I then turned and asked her four-year-old to tell me again all about his first school visit that day and what he got up to.
"The guy came and asked my friend to move and I leaned over and said 'it's all good, we won't be long'.
"He went back to sit in the truck and when I finally thought he'd sat for long enough (and the little dude in the back seat was getting hungry), I got out and got a very sheepish 'sorry' from the truck cab."
One person reponded to the post, writing: "I worked for an electrician for about 18 months, he was the nicest dude you could ask to do your electrical. If we were blocking someone in any way he'd usually have me move the vehicle.
"It was hard work for sure, but I could tell he cared about the people who hired him because we went back to a lot of the same houses for more work over time."
Another wrote: "Best retort to the 'I won't be long' is 'neither will the traffic cop I just spoke to about you blocking my driveway'." A third replied: "Good on ya!"
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Sharing is NOT caring. You gave him a taste of his own medicine. 'Uh-oh, the car won’t start. I guess I’ll have to get a tow truck. Oh, I don’t get paid until next week. Oh well, it’s all good. It won’t take long'."
Someone else also chimed in with: "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." One more also wrote: "I would have called for a tow."
There were some who said they could "never" put up with a shared driveway, but the original poster admitted it wasn't always a bad thing. Though social media users claimed it can't be an easy thing to deal with, she explained how it works.
Clarifying, she wrote: "Most of the time it wasn't a problem because it was kind of a 'Y' shape and both houses have two car garages and concrete pads at the front where you can fit another three or four cars if needed, but these guys parked their truck in the tail of the 'Y' and blocked everything!"
